In a vibrant celebration of cross-cultural exchange and language learning, the Japanese Language Mini Camp 2025 was held at Delhi Public School (DPS), Mathura Road, bringing together students and educators from across the region. Organized by JALSTA (Japanese Language School Teachers’ Association) and The Japan Foundation, New Delhi, the event saw enthusiastic participation and spirited performances by young learners of Japanese.

Takashi KOBAYASHI, First Secretary (PR & Culture), from the Embassy of Japan in India attended the event, underscoring the importance of language as a bridge between cultures. In his remarks, the official praised the students for their dedication and passion for learning Japanese, and reaffirmed Japan's continued support for Indian learners and teachers of the language.

The camp served as both an educational and cultural platform. Students showcased their growing proficiency in Japanese through engaging activities including role-plays based on Bollywood movies in Japanese, traditional Soranbushi dance performances, and group presentations. The creativity and confidence displayed by the students highlighted not just their language skills, but also their enthusiasm for deepening their understanding of Japanese culture.
Teachers from various institutions also took part, turning the event into a valuable networking and idea-sharing opportunity among Japanese language educators. It was a day of learning, laughter, and cultural appreciation, fostering connections that go beyond the classroom.
This mini camp is one of many initiatives aimed at promoting Japanese language education in India and strengthening people-to-people ties between the two countries. The Embassy of Japan expressed its continued commitment to supporting such efforts and encouraging the next generation of global citizens.
