The IIITD Innovation & Incubation Center (IIITD-IC) experienced the visit of a delegation from the Embassy of Japan at New Delhi, marking yet another milestone in strengthening India–Japan collaboration in technology, research, and entrepreneurship.

The delegation included Jiro Kodera, Counsellor for Economy & Development, Makoto Watanabe, First Secretary (Science & Technology and Higher Education) and Hitoshi Ogino, First Secretary at the Japanese Mission in India.
During their visit, the Japanese officials engaged in a meaningful and insightful dialogue with the IIITD-IC leadership, startup founders, and innovation managers. The conversation explored the dynamic innovation landscape at IIITD-IC, with the center’s team showcasing its work with early-stage startups and the transformative solutions emerging from its portfolio companies. These innovations span sectors such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, health tech, sustainability, and deep tech, each demonstrating tangible real-world impact — from revolutionizing industries to tackling critical social challenges.
“It was a thoughtful and engaging exchange, and we thank the delegates for taking the time to understand our ecosystem,” an IIITD-IC representative said. “Their interest and encouragement reaffirm the potential for deeper partnerships between India and Japan.”
This visit reinforces a shared vision between the two nations: leveraging technology, talent, and cross-border collaboration to drive meaningful change in the global innovation and entrepreneurship landscape.
