Noritake: 120 Years of Craftsmanship and Cultural Culinary Connection in India

In 2020, Noritake took a significant step by launching a collection featuring motifs uniquely inspired by Indian culture. This line of products has quickly gained popularity both locally and internationally.

Since 1904, Noritake has been synonymous with beauty and quality, gracing dining tables around the globe. Renowned for its superior artistry and craftsmanship, meticulous attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Noritake has established itself as an international trademark over the past century.

In 1904, the Noritake brand was born in the village of Noritake, near Nagoya, Japan, with a mission to produce Western-style dinnerware for export. It wasn't until 1914 that the production process was perfected, resulting in exquisite china often hand-painted and lavishly adorned with gold. However, the roots of Noritake trace back to Morimura Brothers, a trading company founded in New York in 1876, which imported chinaware, curios, paper lanterns, and other gift items.

By the early 1920s, Noritake revolutionized its production methods by introducing assembly line techniques, enabling mass production of high-quality yet affordable dinnerware. This innovation fueled rapid growth, and in the decades that followed, Noritake continually refined its manufacturing capabilities, expanding its reach to global markets.

In the hotel and restaurant sector, Noritake products are favored by luxury hotel and resort groups, restaurants, and airlines, celebrated for their sophisticated design, exceptional quality, and durability. Noritake tableware has even graced prestigious state banquets, including formal dinners at the G8 summit and working dinners at the G7 summit.
