Osamu Suzuki, former Chairman of Suzuki Motor Corporation, was posthumously awarded the Padma Vibhushan for his transformative contribution to India's automotive industry and four-decade leadership of Maruti Suzuki.


The award was conferred by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, in a solemn ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan on April 28. Toshihiro Suzuki accepted the award on behalf of his late father Osamu Suzuki
