Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and ICMEI Sign MoU to Strengthen Bilateral Ties Between India and Japan

The Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce (IJCC) and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding in Noida, paving the way for enhanced India-Japan cooperation across business, culture, education, media, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

In a landmark move to deepen the bonds of friendship, commerce, and culture between India and Japan, the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce (IJCC) and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the prestigious Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida.
The MoU establishes a structured framework for bilateral cooperation encompassing trade promotion, business development, cultural exchange, academic collaboration, and the strengthening of people-to-people connections between the two nations. Under the agreement, both organizations will jointly pursue initiatives including business delegations, seminars, cultural programs, and professional networking opportunities for stakeholders from India and Japan.
Rahul Mishra, Chairman of the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce, articulated the IJCC's overarching vision. "IJCC exists as a dedicated professional platform to advance economic, trade, cultural, and business cooperation between India and Japan. Through this partnership, we will facilitate industry linkages, champion bilateral business initiatives, host high-level delegations and events, and provide companies and professionals from both countries with the collaboration and innovation ecosystem they need to thrive," he stated.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chancellor of AAFT University, underscored the strategic value of the alliance. "India and Japan are united by a bond built on mutual trust, deep respect, and shared values that have stood the test of time. This MoU is a powerful step forward in our collective mission to advance trade, culture, media, education, and tourism — and to nurture a closer connection between the people of our two great nations," said Dr. Marwah.
The signing ceremony was graced by Surajeet Kalita, Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of IJCC, and Parijat Tiwari, Senior Consultant for Indo-Japan Bilateral Trade and Economic Relations. Both dignitaries expressed strong confidence in the agreement's potential to unlock meaningful opportunities for businesses, entrepreneurs, educational institutions, and cultural organizations across both nations.
This MoU heralds the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the IJCC–ICMEI relationship, reflecting their shared resolve to champion international cooperation, economic advancement, cultural understanding, and sustainable growth between India and Japan.
The event concluded with a forward-looking discussion on upcoming collaborative projects and joint initiatives, with a special focus on strengthening Indo-Japanese relations across multiple sectors through ICMEI's Indo-Japan Film and Cultural Forum.
