The highly anticipated Japanese anime and pop-culture festival in India, Mela! Mela! Anime Japan!! 2025, is back—bigger, brighter, and more immersive than ever. Following its record-breaking 2024 debut that attracted nearly 50,000 visitors, this year’s edition will be held on September 13–14, 2025, at Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden, New Delhi, as the flagship event of Japan Month 2025.

The event promises double the excitement with an expanded lineup of authentic Japanese anime titles, thrilling cosplay competitions, live anison performances, engaging workshops, and mouthwatering Japanese food stalls.

A Fusion of Japanese Culture, Anime & Opportunities

Organized by the Mela! Mela! Anime Japan!! Executive Committee and supported by the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi, JETRO, JCCII, and other organizations, the festival is more than an anime convention—it’s a comprehensive cultural showcase of Japan in India.

Visitors can look forward to:

  • Booth Exhibitions: Over 20 anime-related companies and Japanese brands presenting anime merchandise, manga collectibles, and authentic Japanese pop culture experiences.

  • Exclusive Anime Screenings: Fan favorites such as 5 Centimeters Per Second, Takopi's Original Sin, and Godzilla, alongside new Japanese animation releases.

  • Live Stage Performances: High-energy anison concerts, cosplay contests, and interactive fan sessions.

  • Workshops & Industry Panels: Hands-on learning with Japanese anime creators, illustrators, and industry experts, perfect for aspiring artists and enthusiasts.

  • Japanese Cuisine: Authentic dishes from popular Japanese restaurants in Delhi NCR, including ramen, sushi, takoyaki, and more.

Beyond entertainment, Mela! Mela! Anime Japan!! 2025 also serves as a career and education gateway. With Japanese companies, universities, and organizations hosting information booths, the event highlights study in Japan opportunities, scholarships, exchange programs, and professional pathways, making it a bridge between India and Japan’s cultural and economic ties.

Anime Lineup: More Titles, More Fun

This year’s anime lineup is twice as big as last year’s and includes a mix of classics and new-generation hits like Doraemon, Shin chan: The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers in India, Kamen Rider, Princession Orchestra,

BEYBLADE X, Tougen Anki, Rooster Fighter, MAKE A GIRL, TOJIMA TANZABURO WANTS TO BE KAMEN RIDER (MASKED RIDER), Rolling Along and many more Japanese anime titles yet to be revealed.

“We warmly invite you to bring your friends and family and immerse yourselves in the vibrant world of Japanese culture,” mentioned the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi in their media release.
